Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using XtoX (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use this website.
2. Description of Service
XtoX provides a client-side utility suite allowing users to convert file formats (including images, PDF documents, Markdown files, and HTML) directly within their browser. The Service is completely free, does not require user registration, and does not upload files to remote servers.
3. User Responsibility
Since all file processing occurs locally on your machine:
- You must ensure your device has sufficient hardware resources (such as RAM and CPU capability) to handle large file conversions.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to convert the documents and files you upload to the local browser window.
- We are not responsible for any file corruptions, local data losses, or memory crashes that might occur during conversion processing.
4. Intellectual Property
All site layout code, SVG assets, and design properties of XtoX belong to the project maintainers. The libraries utilized for conversion (Mammoth, Turndown, Marked, PDF.js, heic2any) are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE CONVERSION OUTPUT WILL RETAIN PERFECT FIDELEITY OR BE SECURE FROM BROWSER-LEVEL CRASHES.
6. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OWNERS OR CONTRIBUTORS OF XTOX BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INDIRECT LOSSES, OR PERSONAL INJURIES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
